I deleted my previous two posts to save some space and join them here:Find somewhere on the internet to hold your picture - e.g. your bloc.Link to this picture by using the html tag img src="http://...". This tag should be put inside the "description" block under the "settings" column (next to template)Quite like what you have done before: http://help.blogger.com/bin/answer.py?answer=776 What did you mean by "categorization"?Did you mean like what I have done in the right hand side of my own bloc (Please have a look)? It was done by modifying the template. Some bloggers like Hung-one-beam have more detailed categorization of articles, but I think the method is quite the same (Hope I am right). Please don't say yourself an idiot. Indeed, I think Blogger.com's help is not very helpful. I wrote several websites from Wordpad, but still spent certain time figuring out how to personalize a bit my bloc.
Hi dead cat: It's me again. After answering your question about "categorization", I was afraid I had answered wrongly (I am rather new to blogging), so I asked my friends and searched the internet for the solution. My tentative search showed that Blogger doesn't support categories like Wordpress and others do, but some google users have invented their intellient ways of "categorizing" things. I find this post http://netcf2.blogspot.com/2005/11/blogging-categories-categories.html which suggests making use of the blog search function to simulate categories. Now I am trying this in my own bloc, and it works (to some extent). You may have a look.So I think there are *at least* two ways to do the categorization (I use both) in Blogger:-You categorize the articles manually, as many bloggers do. Just like adding URL links to the sidebar.-You use the method mentioned above. Since the blog search function has a few bugs, I think you need to try....Hope other knowledgeable people can step in and help.Sorry for the confusion.
Thank you Mad Dog, Oslo, Franklin!!!Franklin: thank you thank you thank you!!! 1) header photo: i failed...ha ha, dunno why...2) category: i guess i want to do it manually and like what Hung-one-bean has... i hope i can figure it out, thanks!!
Hi dead cat: You are nearly successful inserting the header photo. I have sent you an email.
The img src="....." should be inside the < > tag
