對不起我笑足了一天。問題也不純是發錯音。我們當然願意他只是語言上失誤而不是因當選亢奮而出現佛洛依德式口誤。多年前唸語言學有聽過給這種情況起的一個名詞，即以英語為外語的人因生怕犯錯，因而矯枉過正，例如 「I goes to school」；現在那些東西忘得一乾二淨，怎也想不起了。

然而「代表青年人」的陳先生不是最前衛的，蘇格蘭詩人/詞人Robert Burns 於1789年作有Jamie, Come Try Me：

Chorus.-Jamie, come try me,
Jamie, come try me,
If thou would win my love,
Jamie, come try me.

If thou should ask my love,
Could I deny thee?
If thou would win my love,
Jamie, come try me!
Jamie, come try me, &c.

If thou should kiss me, love,
Wha could espy thee?
If thou wad be my love,
Jamie, come try me!
Jamie, come try me, &c.

Burns的同鄉、女歌手 Eddi Reader唱/改編了好些他的歌曲，出版了與Royal Scottish National Orchestra合作的《Eddi Reader Sings the Songs of Robert Burns》其中有這一首。她在歌詞旁邊寫道: 「The image of a lassie calling for “Jamie” to come and be with her struck me as so empowering. Robert writing from a woman’s perspective.」

她在 Fairground Attraction年代己唱了幾首，在細碟背面的已失落在我少年時代的黑膠碟/卡式帶裡，包括最喜歡的Jock O'Hazeldine，飲恨。
